Class I WLPZ: 150 – 200'. Inner band no cut or limited entry to improve salmonid habitat through selection or commercial thin. Outer band high basal area and canopy retention zone. Vertical canopy to remain at 70% (where existent). 20 year min. re-entry.
Class II WLPZ : 50 – 100'. Inner band no cut or limited entry to improve salmonid habitat through selection or commercial thin. 85% canopy retention within 25' of the channel. Outer band high basal area and canopy retention zone.
Class III WLPZ: Equipment limitation zones (ELZ) at least 25' on side slopes ណ%, and 50' on slopes ᡖ%.
Class I Streams: height of two site potential trees (up to 400’) on both sides of the stream channel.
Class II Streams: height of one and one-half site potential trees (up to 300’) on both sides of the stream channel.
Class III Streams: 100 feet on both sides of the channel.
• Inner half, no cut except for limited harvest, thinning as appropriate to facilitate recovery and protection of key watershed functions.
• Outer half single tree selection, max. 30% basal area removal with maximum rotation entry.
